While By Soph & Co. uses water resistant materials, a little extra care can help your pieces stay beautiful for longer and cut down on how often they need to be cleaned. I know no one wants to constantly take their favorite jewelry on and off, so think of these tips as simple ways to give your pieces a little extra love while still enjoying them every day. 

The 5 S’s to keep in mind:

Sleep — Remove before bed when you can.

Swim — Avoid prolonged exposure to pools or bodies of water when possible. If worn, rinse with clean water and dry thoroughly afterward.

Shower — Remove before showering or bathing when convenient.

Sprays — Apply perfume, lotions, and other products before putting on your jewelry.

Sweat — Remove before workouts or activities that cause heavy sweating when possible.

Cleaning

Polymer Clay: Use a small amount of alcohol on a Q-tip or cotton ball, and wipe sparingly to remove scuffs or stains.

Polymer Clay w/ Resin Coat, Gemstones, Metals: Gently wipe with a soft, slightly damp microfiber cloth.

Storage: Store your jewelry in the provided pouch/box or in a dry space to prevent dust. For any clay pieces, avoid prolonged exposure to direct sunlight to help preserve color.
